The Lessons of Life
Every day is an opportunity to learn from the school and teacher called life. Wise people not only learn faster but also learn from other people’s experiences. Some experiences take a lifetime to recover.
Exactly when does Life education begin? Is it when you turn one year old or when you start school? No. Learning begins when one is born. From life’s lessons, a child knows when to leave the mother’s womb, how to suckle, and how to grow. It all happens instinctively.
One lesson I have been learning for a very long time is that if you don’t plan, you are automatically planning to fail. I can’t remember when life began teaching me this, but I know it has been many years. I have learned that being intentional in planning saves time, finances, energy, and many other resources.
Living life without a clear vision is costly. You may have to start over again; you spend resources on the wrong project, and the project you need to work on suffers neglect. But getting established on a clear plan is very rewarding.
I learned that at this point, it’s easy to say no to anything that is not part of your vision and gladly work on what concerns you effectively. It’s a powerful lesson.
One Life Lesson from King Solomon
Solomon, the King of Israel, is well known for his wisdom and wealth. His grand palace, magnificent fleet, and accumulated gold were part of his wealth. However, he had a particular mission and focused on accomplishing it. God made it clear to him to build the Temple in Jerusalem for God and His people.
Solomon’s ultimate assignment to God was to serve Him and His people by building a Temple in Jerusalem. The other accomplishments he is known for are outstanding, probably more expensive and challenging but building the Temple was what God required of him.
The year 2022 is at its tail end. When you reflect on your future in the next year, you must be clear about your life mission and vision. Why did God create you? Why are you on His planet?
Have you asked Him these questions? if not, you need to find out from Him precisely what He expects of you.
By setting aside enough time to pray and fast, you will be able to clear your mind and focus on hearing God speak to you. God speaks to us differently.
Solomon’s life shows that none should live aimlessly and that God has a definite plan for everyone. In Romans 51:4, The word is to instruct and teach so that you might have hope through perseverance and the encouragement of the Scriptures.
Jesus, the Life
Jesus is the Life that gives light. The Life of Jesus carries light for the whole world, and everyone who does not have His Life does not have light and is in complete darkness. From the writings of Apostle John. The true light gives light to everyone coming into the world. He was in the world, and though Jesus created the world through him, the world did not recognize him.
“He came to that which was his own, but his own did not receive him. Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God— Children born not of natural descent, nor human decision or a husband’s will, but born of God.” (John 1:12-13)
Jesus is God’s chosen way to God the Father.
God is the source of true Life. As a believer, you must strive to live and learn from this Life, made available through Christ, who is living inside you by faith. According to Paul, in Galatians 2:20, you have been crucified with Christ, and you no longer live, but Christ lives in you. The Life you now live in the body, you live by faith in the Son of God, who loved you and gave himself for you.
By constantly reading God’s Word and in Humility seeking His revelation through His written Word, He speaks to you. As you heed and obey Him, He changes your mindset and worldview so that you view everything through His Word Romans 12:2. His Word thus informs your everyday circumstances and experiences so that God receives the glory through them.
You should not conform to or emulate the patterns of this world. Jesus said he is the way, truth, and Life. Without an established relationship with Him, life loses meaning, and you cannot function optimally. Your life’s vision needs to be centered around Him; otherwise, it will be a baseless vision.
When we spend sufficient time with Him, we can never get lost in life, we cannot live a lie, and we get access to draw from His Life that is different from the life that we get through natural birth. His Word is a lamp to your feet and a light to your path.
Jesus told His disciples that He was not leaving them as orphans but sending them a Helper. Who will comfort them, teach them all truth and remind them concerning all He had taught them because they would need to apply it whenever confronted by situations.
We are not meant to be alone as we Journey through our daily experiences. As we learn, let us draw from the Life of Christ that is more superior and eternal.
